Here's an article about our wedding that got published in India Abroad:
They met in Spring 2003, on a blind date suggested by their friend Vik. At brunch, Aparna fell
for Joel when she ordered a savory meal, and he ordered French Toast and
shared with her so that she could enjoy both sweet and savory. Joel fell for
Aparna soon afterwards.
Here is a picture of the happy couple (Courtesy K. and S. Brown, April 2004):

The ceremony and reception took place on the evening of July 24, 2004, at a
Hindu temple called the Sanatan
Mandir. The ceremony began at 5:30 pm, and the reception followed.
Neither family is especially observant, but the Sanatan Mandir has special
significance for the Desai family. Kappu Desai, Aparna's mother, designed a
large
quilt which now hangs in the temple and served as the backdrop for the
ceremony.
Toronto is a great tourist city, and in July the days are long and the weather
is likely to be pleasant. There are dozens of guidebooks available, here is a
link to a very useful online Toronto
guide.
